As the Volunteering Partnerships manager you will target and develop relationships with a wide range of external partners; educational establishments, companies, organisations and contacts to drive new volunteers to YHA.

You will need to use a variety of techniques to convert relationships into purposeful volunteering activity. You will focus on engagement with young volunteers including those with challenging lives, organisations and other groups.

Key Role Responsibilities:

* Develop and manage a pro-active plan for partners and external contacts

* Engage and manage relationships with external partners, education establishments, companies, organisations and contacts to drive new volunteers

* Prospect and approach new potential partners/third parties to bring volunteers to YHA and develop partner/account delivery plans

* Develop and deliver an account management approach to relationships

* Prospect and approach potential new 'routes to market' and communication opportunities to reach new volunteers

* Maximise opportunities for media and PR to benefit YHA volunteering

* Lead the development and delivery of corporate volunteering packages

* Work collaboratively with the Volunteering Business Partner to improve the quality of volunteer experiences

* Work collaboratively with the Evaluation and Impact Manager to develop new evidence of the difference made to people's lives through volunteering

* Develop strong and positive relationships with hostels to support them in delivery of high quality volunteering experiences

* Establish and maintain good quality communications with partners

* Explore new ways of reaching and engaging with partners

* Develop reporting mechanisms to evidence performance

Person specification:

* Experience of previous partnerships and engagement with; Charities supporting young people, Universities and colleges, employee volunteering schemes

* Experience of account management/partnership agreement approaches

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Experience of negotiation and stakeholder management

* Professional presentation in all interactions

* Previous knowledge/experience of organising volunteering,

* Analytical skills and ability to interpret and evaluate performance and trends

* Organised and structured ways of working

* Supportive team member, willing to engage and support colleagues at all levels of the organisation

* Confidence to work independently and to develop systems of working with a collaborative team environment

* Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role including regular travel around England and Wales, including some overnight stays
